 Cross Ice Program
The Cross-Ice program is for players 8 and under who have completed the Learn To Skate program or have had some skating instruction. Our program follows the USA Hockey Initiation Program guidelines stressing skill development. The program emphasizes the basic skills of the game of hockey such as skating (balance, cross-over turns, stops), stick/puck handling and positional play. These sessions are intended to provide a more intense level of instruction in order to prepare the skater for the next level. Cross-ice scrimmages will be held and some light travel in the second half of the year to play other organizations' Cross-Ice teams.
Cross Ice will be a 20 session program begining Saturday, November 7, 2009 with practices on Thursdayday evenings from 6:40pm til 7:40pm and Saturday mornings from 7:30am til 8:30am.
